the pub has a lovely traditional feel. the carvery was great! i also liked that the rooms were very clean. the bed was so comfortable.
i booked a room including breakfast, but found out the kitchen was being refreshed and i couldn't have breakfast. i booked only a week before, so they must have known then. there were even dinner menus in the bedroom, but there was no food available.

Underwhelming Stay
lack of communication
I must say, the lack of communication was something else. I booked a room and breakfast, mainly cause I am lazy. The dinner menus in the bedroom was like a bad joke. They should really communicate these changes better to prevent hungry guests.
